Hello,

I’m struggling to decide between upgrading my graphics card or central processing unit to improve my gaming experience. My existing hardware includes an Intel Core i3-6100, a GeForce GTX 1050 with 2GB of VRAM, 16 gigabytes of RAM, and I’m considering an upgrade to either a GeForce GTX 1070 with 8GB of VRAM or an Intel Core i5-8700k or i5-9600k processor. Thank you in advance,
Hayden S.

Regardless of your selected upgrade path, you’ll likely encounter significant limitations. However, if you're eager to purchase immediately and can only manage one upgrade, prioritizing the graphics card is advisable. It’s anticipated that AMD's 3000 series processors will subsequently reduce the cost of the 8700k. Conversely, if you intend to engage in extensive broadcasting, one of the superior Ryzen 3000 models might prove a more suitable investment. Keep in mind that these processors require at least 3200 MHz RAM for optimal performance.
