My existing computer, which I’ve been using regularly since 2015, is:
an Asus Z97-K motherboard, a GeForce GTX 970 graphics card, an Intel Core i7-4790k processor, 16 GB of DDR3 memory, and a 2 terabyte hard drive. I don’t currently have an SSD. I'm looking to regularly stream and fully utilize a dual-computer configuration, but I’m facing a dilemma. Should I continue using my current machine as my primary gaming PC and construct a separate, affordable streaming setup? Or should I build an affordable gaming PC and simply designate my existing computer as a dedicated streaming machine? Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Considering this as a streaming workstation is possible, however, if your funds for a gaming PC are limited, avoid purchasing a graphics card for that system and instead utilize the 970 within the new build, combined with integrated graphics on your streaming PC. A GTX 970 will perform adequately at 1080p for approximately a year or two, at which point you can upgrade it when your finances allow.
