Occasionally, while I’m enjoying titles such as Red Dead Redemption 2 or Grand Theft Auto V, my screen and sound suddenly freeze together—it’s not a common occurrence but when it does occur, it’s quite irritating due to its obvious nature. However, this doesn't manifest with games like Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, where it has never occurred. I suspect this might be linked to my hard drive; CSGO is installed on a solid-state drive, while the other games reside on a traditional hard disk. My PC’s temperatures are within acceptable limits, and it possesses sufficient performance to handle these games, leaving me uncertain about the root cause of this issue.

I would also add 8 gigabytes of memory. While it’s stated that 8 gigabytes is the lowest requirement, 16 gigabytes would be a more appropriate benchmark for gaming performance.

The data resided on the hard disk, but I purchased the solid-state drive and set it up in its place.

Try installing the rest of your games on your SSD. For the SSD to make a difference, your applications have to be on the same storage device as your operating system. This might be your problem. I would only use the HDD as a sort of backup for personal files. What are your full system specs?

I would add an additional 8 gigabytes of memory as well. It’s alleged that 8 gigabytes is sufficient, however, 16 gigabytes would be a more appropriate benchmark for gaming performance.
