Following the recent driver update, previously functioning older video games are now displaying errors and failing to run. Initially, my computer exhibited performance issues with certain titles, prompting me to update the graphics drivers—however, this did not resolve the problem. Now, only newer games are successfully operating, while older ones (from approximately 2004 to 2010) will launch but immediately crash. The affected games include Team Fortress 2, Left 4 Dead 2, Portal 2, and Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. All other games are functioning without issue. My system specifications are as follows: GPU – GT 710 1GB DDR3; CPU – i5 3470; RAM – 4GB; Motherboard – B75; and operating system – Windows 10. Please refrain from suggesting a GPU upgrade, as I am currently unable to afford one due to excessively high prices in my region.

You may
revert your graphics card driver to an earlier version
or
employ System Restore. If that doesn't resolve the issue, please remove and install it anew (using custom installation).

If the updated driver didn't resolve your issue, have you attempted reverting to your prior drive using Device Manager?
