My gaming setup – an i5-4690 processor, a GTX 1080 graphics card with 16GB of RAM – is significantly more powerful than what’s needed for Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, yet I consistently experience disruptive, sporadic stuttering that’s frustrating. This issue occurs unpredictably during gameplay. I've utilized `net_graph` to monitor my frame rate and ping, which appear stable. Interestingly, this stuttering seems linked to mouse lag as well. I’ve attempted numerous solutions including: adjusting frame limits with NVIDIA Inspector, setting maximum rendered frames through NVIDIA settings, experimenting with advanced configuration files inspired by professional players, and updating my graphics drivers. I would greatly appreciate any suggestions to diagnose this perplexing problem.
Do you two have Windows 7 installed?
Windows 10 altered several elements and eliminated microstutter from Counter-Strike: Global Offensive – I believe this happened following the latest update by the developers.
Previously, adjusting thread settings proved effective for me; however, you’ll need to make these adjustments each time the game launches, and it maintains its functionality until you close the application.

I experience something quite comparable as well, with hardware that’s roughly the same.
My system:
i5 4690K
GTX 1070 TI
8GB DDR3
My old graphics card previously provided a noticeably smoother gaming experience across many games. This led me to suspect that the problem is due to CPU limitations, which has notably caused significant mouse stuttering in titles like Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege. In fact, when I reduced the overclock and set my CPU to its default speeds, it actually made the problem worse.
I’ve experimented with various drivers, settings, frame rate limits, Nvidia Inspector, and V-sync, yet none of these have resolved the issue.
It appears we’re facing a similar situation.
I've been considering an upgrade to the latest i7 9700k/i9 9900k, as experiencing mouse stuttering in competitive first-person shooter games is incredibly frustrating and can easily impact my performance.
Apologies that I don’t possess a definitive resolution.

Adjusting thread settings previously aided me – this process requires repetition each time you launch the game, however it maintains functionality until you close it.
