It features an i5 processor, 8 GB of RAM, and a GTX 1050 graphics card – it’s generally capable of running GTA V at nearly maximum settings with a consistent 120 frames per second, without any frame rate fluctuations. However, when attempting to play GTA San Andreas, I consistently receive only around 10 frames per second, and this number continues to diminish over time.
I discovered the root of the issue: the game is consistently utilizing the integrated graphics (Intel HD Graphics 630) instead of the dedicated GTX 1050. I attempted to modify this setting within the NVIDIA control panel, but it proved unsuccessful. Subsequently, I attempted to disable the integrated graphics entirely, yet upon launching the game, I encountered an error message indicating “Cannot find 800x600x32 video mode” (or “Cannot find 1280x720x32 video mode” when using a GTA SA version provided by a friend).
