Resolved: Internal speakers versus headphone sound processors.
I’m struggling to determine the best option for my gaming setup. My computer, an MSI X470 Gaming Pro Carbon, utilizes a Realtek ALC 1220 audio chip, which is generally considered to be an adequate internal sound solution. I’m wondering whether investing in a gaming USB headset with its own integrated audio component, such as the Kraken Tournament Edition, HyperX Cloud Alpha S, or a traditional 3.5mm (analog) headset that would leverage my motherboard’s sound capabilities, is the wiser choice. Are these separate headset sound cards truly effective? How does the ALC 1220 compare to them? What headset should I ultimately purchase – a USB model or one with an analog connection? Could you offer guidance? Thank you.
