My computer sometimes freezes during video games. On some days, it functions without issue, while on others, I experience numerous freezes. I've anticipated that software updates—both driver and Windows—might resolve this issue, but it has persisted for a month. Today, I repeatedly exited The Witcher 3 after running it successfully two days earlier, and I require a resolution. What initial actions should I take to discover a solution/what steps can I implement to try and rectify this?

Remove the second memory module you installed and retest – I’m hoping you didn't swap the sticks.

Execute a Windows DISM and system scan:

Perform a malware scan on your PC using Adwcleaner:

AMD Ryzen 5 1500X - WikiChip
Refer to the Memory Configurations table for listed compatible speeds.
Combining multiple memory sets is not assured to function harmoniously together.

Could you please remove the additional two 4 gigabyte RAM modules and then conduct these tests?

Affirmative.

They are dissimilar, despite appearing identical.

Because they lacked manufacturer testing and certification for compatibility, they functionally operate as separate entities.

I haven't experienced a crash for four days, which is a significant stretch recently. I felt it was effective, and I appreciate the assistance!
