Hello, I recently bought an Acer laptop, which is considerably more modern than my old 2014 computer. Yet, it’s hard to describe this as an improvement since games run more smoothly on my desktop than on the new machine. My desktop system includes an i7 4770k processor, 16GB of DDR3 HyperX Savage RAM, an ASRock Z97M motherboard, a Gigabyte GTX 970 with a HyperX SSD and a 1TB hard drive. Here’s the laptop: https://www.acer.com/ac/en/AE/content/pr....Q2BEM.004. I consistently achieve an average of 90 frames per second in Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 on my desktop, but only manage around 60 fps on the laptop. The same applies to Ring of Elysium – I get a stable 70 fps on my desktop, but it drops down to 50 fps on the laptop. It seems unusual, and I’m wondering if I'm somehow limiting the performance of my laptop.

Your computer’s central processing unit and graphics processing unit, found in your desktop setup, demonstrate a performance increase of roughly 15 to 20 percent compared to their counterparts in laptops. This aligns with my anticipated outcome.
