Resolved BIOS issue for Asrock X570s Riptide PG
Hi, I'm facing an unusual issue. According to AGESA 1.0.7.2 (around 2017), we normally enable the "Disable AMD PSP" feature on AM4 boards. My board, the Asrock X570s Riptide PG, came with BIOS version 1.10, known as AGESA 1.2.0.3b. I've tried both 2.20 (AGESA 1.2.0.6b) and L5.01 (a beta release, AGESA 1.2.0.8), but the BIOS appears to be very limited. Compared to another machine running the Asus Pro WS X570-ACE, my chipset offers much less control, especially since I'm missing this feature that others value. The only helpful info is that it's not available in recent versions of the BIOS I've seen for Asrock. I searched online but couldn't find anything useful—sometimes I had to type "AMD PSP" and nothing came up. Even when I didn't mention it, results stayed blank. On r/Asrock there are only a few posts about AMD PSP, and none that help. I reached out to Asrock support via email, but haven't received a response yet. Recently updating my BIOS (which now includes a warning against reverting) might have removed the option entirely. My options are either to edit the BIOS using UEFI-Editor or simply use setup_var.efi to toggle it without changing anything. This situation is really frustrating.
