I’ve been a dedicated video game player for many years, recently transitioning to PC gaming. Over the past year, I've primarily played Fortnite and Overwatch on my computer, plus I’ve also participated in the beta testing of Apex Legends and Anthem, alongside other titles. I frequently utilize Halo Forge on my system. My only significant issue is with Anthem. Despite adjusting the game settings to a custom configuration – prioritizing high graphics options except for effects, disabling anti-aliasing, and turning off motion blur – the problem persists. Numerous users online have reported similar adjustments without success. Furthermore, I’ve observed reports from individuals with identical graphics cards, leading me to suspect a potential compatibility issue (and yes, I'm using the newest drivers). At this point, I'm unsure how to proceed, as I only acquired the game recently and it’s completely unplayable. It freezes every few seconds for approximately one second, and movement is extremely slow and choppy.

I should also mention that I recently upgraded my central processing unit (CPU) and motherboard; however, I didn't perform a system reformat. Windows 10 started up automatically, so I decided to continue using it. My graphics card has been updated, and Windows Update is enabled. Notably, I have only 8GB of RAM, although others are successfully running Anthem with the same amount, suggesting this isn’t the root cause – I plan to install an additional 8GB next month.

PC Specifications:
CPU: Ryzen 5 2600
Hard Drive: Seagate Barracuda
RAM: G.Skill NT Series x2
Graphics Card: MSI GeForce GTX 1070
Motherboard: ASRock B450 Pro4 (previously an Asus M5A99X)
Power Supply Unit: Corsair CX650

I recognize your issue – you failed to install a clean version of Windows 10 following the motherboard and processor upgrade. A fresh installation is necessary to eliminate any glitches. Windows isn't built for seamless integration with new hardware, particularly considering the presence of outdated chipset drivers which could be generating significant problems.
