I just bought Assassin’s Creed Odyssey for my PC, which has an i9-9900k processor and an RTX 2070 graphics card. I’m experiencing unusually high CPU usage, frequently reaching 100%. I'm puzzled by this and have heard that the game is quite demanding on processors. However, my system temperatures are within acceptable limits. I would appreciate any suggestions or guidance you could offer, thank you.

This generally indicates the game runs efficiently and leverages your processor's capabilities to their maximum. If you aren’t noticing any drawbacks, that’s a positive outcome.

It's working fine for me. However, as a streamer, I was aiming to broadcast this content. Unfortunately, streaming requires significant processing power, so it appears I won't be able to stream this game; I’m predicting that.

Experimenting with various "Threaded Optimization" settings within NCP for that specific game could potentially yield positive results. Please test this approach to evaluate its effectiveness.

Could you clarify what NCP stands for?

Previously, I encountered a similar issue, which resolved itself after adjusting the “Frame Rate Limit” to 90 frames per second within the display configuration. Consequently, my processor’s utilization has decreased to 60%.

I've been playing the game at “Ultra High” settings with a 1440p, 144Hz monitor – despite my hardware’s theoretical capacity to handle this resolution – it consistently achieves between 80 and 100 frames per second. I believe the game is attempting to reach the monitor's refresh rate, leading to elevated CPU usage approaching 100%.

I trust this information proves beneficial.
