Greetings,

I’ve observed a significant decline in my CS:GO frame rate compared to previous performance levels.

I began playing the game in 2015 or 2016, and previously consistently achieved over 200 frames per second.

Within the benchmark map I utilize, my average frame rate currently averages 190 – a figure that was considerably higher in the past, approximately 280.

My computer hardware remains unchanged over an extended period.

Frame rates on the maps I typically play frequently fall below 144, and the overall smoothness of the gameplay diminishes noticeably when frame rates are lower than 250. This is frustrating, especially considering I recently invested in a 144Hz monitor two months ago.

My system specifications are as follows:
-Intel Core i5 4440 @3.3Ghz
-Nvidia Geforce 970
-ASRock H81M HDS Motherboard
-16GB RAM
-Windows 10

I have attempted the following troubleshooting steps:
-Updated and downgraded GPU drivers, testing approximately four different versions – progressing from older to newer.
-Verified that temperatures are within acceptable ranges.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

The Lepa N500 is a budget power supply unit that provides electricity to the entire system. It may be beneficial to update the ASRock H81M HDS BIOS to its most current version.

Consider utilizing Malwarebytes for system scans at this link: https://www.malwarebytes.com/adwcleaner/. I intend to attempt that, but I regularly perform a complete operating system reinstall approximately every eight weeks. I rarely encounter viruses myself.
