Resolve PC issues when posting fails after replacing an SSD with damaged Windows 11 version
Hey everyone, I'm facing an unusual situation. I had to swap out my SSD because the operating system was failing. One day while cleaning up my PC, I connected the new SSD to retrieve some files. After unplugging and reinserting it, everything worked fine and I retrieved my data. I ran Malwarebytes to check for viruses and it came back clean. I left the computer on overnight and restarted it this morning, unplugging the old drive to reset it later. Now my PC won’t boot, the fans aren’t spinning, and there’s no power coming from the motherboard or GPU lights. I’ve tried plugging it in again, resetting the CMOS (using both the button and the pins), booting with the new SSD, and then trying it once more with the old one. Still nothing. Anyone have any suggestions or insights? Thanks! I’ll keep testing solutions when I’m home from work.
