Thanks to those with magical hands! My speed dropped from 250 Mbps to about 122 Mbps. I might upgrade to a better Ethernet cable if I can afford it.

I think the Ethernet port might be faulty, connecting only when conditions are perfect. Shift the cable close to the port and observe the impact. Damaged solder joints frequently lead to unreliable connections.

Your stomach should give a little win, you're on the right track lmao, and shaking that PC LAN port does make the lights pause briefly.

Run the script in PowerShell to check your Ethernet adapter's physical and IP details. Update the drivers for your Reaktek RTL8111H adapter using the provided link.

After more than thirty years, you start to notice patterns. It seems you might need to return the product or purchase a new Ethernet card. It’s disappointing, but it turns out the issue was likely tension or stress on the port during installation.

Uncertain if issues will arise later, but currently everything seems fine. I moved my old Ethernet cable between rooms during a renovation, and so far nothing serious has happened. Just in case, it might disconnect occasionally, but I don’t do that often. It’s not urgent right now.
