You can perform a factory reset without disconnecting the HDD by using the built-in recovery options on Windows. Restart your laptop, enter recovery mode, and follow the prompts to reset the system. This will erase all data on the D: drive as well.

It seems like your drive has both an SSD and a traditional hard drive. You can simply reinstall Windows without taking out the extra storage, but it’s safer to physically remove it if possible. Restoring from a Windows 10 USB created via Microsoft’s tool is likely more reliable than a factory reset. Just ensure the Windows key is linked to your Microsoft account before proceeding.

The C drive uses an SSD and the D drive uses an HDD. You wish to perform a factory reset, as it's a laptop from Acer, and you don't want to lose the drivers or other default components.

Restore Windows is more reliable. You have the option to retain your files during the process without losing drivers. If a driver is absent, you can contact Acer for assistance.

I have a lot of unnecessary software, so your files won't be safe.
