Hello, yesterday I experienced an internet outage caused by the fiber box. During roughly an hour, I reset my router three times because I didn’t realize it was the issue. I’m wondering if this caused any damage or performance issues with the router itself. It has been resting for about half the day now.
Factory resetting your router usually won’t cause major problems. The main concern arises only if you change any settings yourself—then you’ll need to restore them afterward because the reset erases all custom configurations. Otherwise, everything should work just fine.
Avoid damaging the router. Remember to update the default password for both Wi-Fi and the router settings page.
