Hello everyone, based on what you shared, I recently cleaned my CPU and heatsink, removing the thermal paste. I did this to prepare for installing a thermal pad. To do that, I removed the CPU from the motherboard so I could clean the sides, as the old paste had caused grease to spill over. After completing the process, I restarted the PC and continued using it normally. However, I noticed my frame rates were about 10 frames lower than before. It wasn’t a major drop, but I felt something was off. Checking Task Manager revealed that my RAM was running at 2667 MHz instead of the 3200 MHz I had configured. After booting into BIOS, I received a warning: “Clear CMOS information: BIOS has been reset. Please re-configure your BIOS setup items if needed.” I then enabled XMP again, and now my RAM is running at the correct speed. In short, everything seems fine now—this was likely just a normal side effect of cleaning the CPU. No major concerns here.

I removed my M.2 SSD since I got some M.2 screws from Amazon, and then reinstalled it (though I’m not sure if that helped).
