reset b450 steel legend bios at startup

Hi, I’ve noticed similar problems with your B450 Steel Legend setup. The BIOS settings often revert to defaults after a restart or power-off. Also, boot times are unusually slow even though you’re using an SSD and CSM disabled. Could there be a conflict with the motherboard or firmware?

Inspect the CMOS battery for any looseness. If it’s secure, consider swapping it out. A depleted or improperly positioned battery could be the root of the problem.

I believe removing and reinserting the battery resolved the issue. Thanks a lot. I hope it remains this way so I can retain my preferences.

The CMOS battery wasn’t the issue—it was the RAM configuration. It seems this motherboard can’t handle the speeds I adjusted. Booting is much quicker and it’s now stable.
