Hey everyone, I messed things up. I set up a dual boot with Linux and Windows 7. Linux worked for a while but then wouldn’t load at all. Kept seeing error messages saying something was wrong. After that, Windows started behaving oddly, so I decided to wipe the partition and volume, sticking with Windows 7. Once done, I tried to restore the partition and reallocate space, but got a warning about needing a restart. When I rebooted, I saw a message saying "No such device: 0a5ccc3f" and was prompted into rescue mode. I managed to type some code, though I’m not sure what it does. The interface was confusing, and I couldn’t access Ubuntu to fix it. I can’t get past the error in the GRUB menu because I can’t log in to Ubuntu. If anyone can help, that would be a huge relief. Also, if you have Skype, let me know if this is too complicated to solve just by typing here. Thanks for your help!

Sure, I can provide detailed error information including specific codes. Please let me know the context or system you're referring to.

there’s a mix of data and text, then it mentions the recovery process. I checked all the online guides like boot=hd0, msdos6, but the final message says there’s no partition. I’m going to follow up with you about the code that appears when you turn it on, since I’m trying to reload Ubuntu in the unallocated space and see if that helps. I hope it works, but if not, I’ll reach out again. Just want to confirm the 16 or 18-digit/letter code isn’t matching your serial or keyboard codes—it’s the only reason I hesitated to enter it all. You understand I don’t share personal information.

Thanks for your quick reply! Reloading Ubuntu actually helped fix the issue. I should have tried that earlier before posting. Panicking was intense, but at least my computer is still running. Thanks again! 😊
