I am updating my MSI B450i Gaming Plus AC BIOS and it wouldn't recognise my USB as a flash key. Just writing here that the USB needed to be formatted in NTFS, exFAT wasn't recognised by my motherboard as a key, it instead recognised it as a drive. A bit annoying, couldn't find this information anywhere, hope it helps!

FAT32 is commonly suggested for BIOS flash drive use, but NTFS offers no disadvantage if it functions properly.

With a 64GB USB drive, only exFAT and NTFS formats are available in Windows. It functioned properly.
