Hey there! I’m considering a direct point-to-point setup for our farm’s new installations. With several tall structures, running a traditional cable line isn’t feasible due to budget and space limits. I’m leaning toward P2P as the solution. You can see my rough sketch below: black lines represent Cat 5e, blue lines indicate the P2P path. My idea is to use an Ubiquiti NanoBeam (link) to connect the main building’s Wi-Fi source to the top of the structure where the Omni-directional antenna will be placed. Once that’s set up, the signal will reach the other buildings. I was thinking USW-Flex equipment with weatherproof enclosures for powering the antennas and receivers across different sites would work well. It seems simple enough and should function properly. I’d appreciate any advice from more experienced folks before making a purchase. The next phase will involve adding POE security cameras, which I think we can tackle later. Thanks ahead!

For WiFi coverage in the additional structures, each unit will require its own access point. Apart from that, it seems you're mostly correct.

I'm sorry, I missed adding that to the diagram. In my mind the access points were the simpler part, so I didn't consider placing them there.
