You frequently lose access to important tools like SSH keys, especially if you rely on VPNs for business operations. Windows Hello won’t work without TPM, which can be important for biometric authentication on devices like desktops. It has significant performance impacts behind the scenes. One reason for moving to Windows 11 over 10 is likely the enhanced security it provides. Let the issue be addressed properly before dismissing it or trying to work around the problems.

Let Owen99 choose whether to include those features, not Microsoft.

It’s similar to suggesting someone use a seatbelt bypass to lock their car and deciding whether or not they should wear one. You can point out that the PC functioned without TPM, but that doesn’t mean people should ignore safety features. If someone is installing it on a system without TPM support, they’re making a mistake. Doing it yourself isn’t enough to justify pushing others to do the same.

Hello, I know there has been a bit of conversation on bypassing the requirements. TPM is not perfect. If I was in your situation, I would bypass the requirements and install a TPM later, since having a computer up and running is rather nice. Your choice! Also how what are you using to run the setup?

In fact, I believe a TPM chip isn't that crucial.

TPM isn't that crucial compared to a seatbelt. No one dies without it. Damage to a computer is almost impossible. (relatively) Most people with older desktops don't care about Windows Hello, and home users rarely need SSH keys.

The steps around the bypass haven't fixed the problem, the error remains visible.

I'm unsure about the "unsupported" setting, but I managed to use regedit for a clean setup.
