Hello guys, I just installed an i7 3770 on a AsRock H61M-VS motherboard and there is no display. I probably need to update the bios right? thats what happend when I installed i5 3470 on this system as well. How do i update the bios? Can yall give me some advice on this specific board? Maybe the links as well. Thanks

It uses the same Ivy Bridge technology, which is why I don’t understand why an update is necessary.

I also added fresh RAM of 8GB at 1600MHz, alongside the previous 4GB at 1600MHz.

Updating the BIOS requires a Sandy Bridge processor compatible with the latest launch BIOS (All). Check compatibility with a single RAM stick at the provided link.
