Required Upgrade: Trident Z Royal 48GB RAM for optimal performance with asrock Sonic Z790 and 14900KS.
Hey there, I recently set up a system with these components: motherboard—ASRock Sonic Z790, CPU—Intel Core i9-14900KS, RAM—48GB G.SKILL Trident Z Royal. I'm aiming for maximum performance but running into stability problems or it drops to lower speeds. XMP is enabled in BIOS, yet it doesn't hold up under stress. I've adjusted a few parameters, but I'm unsure about safe voltages or timing settings for this configuration. Anyone have experience running 48GB Trident Z Royal at full speed on a Z790 with a 14900KS? Would be great to hear tips on BIOS tweaks, voltage changes, or stability testing tools. Thanks! The full speed is 4400MT/s, and the memory slots in use are 2 and 4.
