Recently for the holidays I received a 3900x motherboard. According to what I've learned, it's feasible to run Gen 3 Ryzen with my board. Up to now, I've only managed updates via BIOS up to version 0504. My main concern is whether this release supports Gen 3 Ryzen. If not, how can I obtain or install a compatible version? Just to check if it makes a difference. EZ Update in AI Suite 3 couldn't locate a newer release when searching online. Thanks ahead.

Save the newest BIOS from ASUS onto a USB stick and load it in. Unzip the compressed package, use the BIOS renamer utility, place the .cap file on the drive, restart and reboot through the BIOS. Apply the EZ update, but consider alternatives since it’s not ideal.
0504 is the initial BIOS release. The earliest BIOS available at all. Typically I oppose using tools such as EZ-Updater or any motherboard software for dependable updates or BIOS adjustments. I believe it's far more secure to visit their site yourself and modify settings manually.
Read the BIOS (3003) from ASUS's site with your provided link. The .cap file is already included; place it on a USB and install via the BIOS.
He might be referring to saving the compressed file with the name "RX450FGM.CAP." I'm currently on the first BIOS and was considering upgrading but hesitant for unknown reasons. The ASUS tech support mentioned keeping the BIOS file named that way, even though it wasn't mentioned in any manual or video.
Whenever I rebooted the BIOS in my Rampage V Extreme or Crosshair VIII Impact, a renaming utility appeared. Time sure has changed, huh?
