I have an old laptop with broken Windows files and it won’t boot into Windows 10 due to error code 0x0000001. I only have an Ethernet cable and several other cables, a working hard drive on the laptop, and access to a public library computer that lacks admin privileges. The library PC runs Windows 7, which I don’t know the exact version of. I can replace the hard drive easily on my laptop, but it doesn’t work here. I also have an ISO file for Windows 7 Ultimate with the necessary code. There’s a time limit of 4 hours and 40 minutes before the public computer closes. Any advice would be greatly appreciated—I might not be able to fix this at all. Thanks! P.S. Sorry for the grammar issues, but I tried my best to explain.

It seems you're trying to navigate Windows 10's startup settings but encountering issues. You're also unsure whether it's Windows 10 or Windows 8.1 since the menu layout differs between versions. This confusion was noted on December 12, 2018 by KoreanDudeKR.

Well unless you own a Win 10 or Win 8 machine, or perhaps you have a backup drive, you won't be able to access it. You can reset it since you're willing to lose your laptop data, and it includes a DVD drive. You could boot from the Windows 7 disk, clear the partition, and install Windows 7 again.
