Using DDR5 means 16GB remains the baseline for gaming. For more performance, aim for 32 or 48 GB if you're serious. Going with 64 offers no real advantage even with demanding games—48 should suffice. I haven't expanded my 32GB drive yet. I tend to skip systems with 24GB because they use a single channel.

Grammar and perfect grammar are often overemphasized, particularly in non-native languages, and relying on Google Translate can be problematic. What matters is ensuring the other person understands your message, otherwise it becomes a real issue.

OP has misunderstood the situation. In our current environment we truly require 128GB of RAM. Anything less makes your setup seem like a budget build, suitable only for old games and basic web browsing. You really have an office computer! Everyone with 64GB should feel disappointed, because honestly I prefer to ignore those who don’t have it. To add a bit of variation from a quote on the most reliable site, remember that forum posters often praise themselves. They keep building “Advanced Marketing” ties with certain YouTubers, trying to make up for lower RAM levels with better marketing. Gamers with less than 128GB should seriously reconsider their choices.

I recently switched from an i7-8700 to an I9-10900K (though it's an older CPU model, I got it at a low price and it was a great upgrade compared to my previous setup). That said, I mainly use Linux. Steam has improved its support for Linux significantly over time. Proton has really impressed me with the performance. I've been dual-booting Linux and Windows since the late 90s, so this is the first time I completely switched to Linux. I note that while Linux consumes fewer system resources, the differences between Windows and Linux don't seem worth the jump from 32GB to 64GB. Still, if you're just playing games, 32GB should suffice; otherwise, investing in a GPU would be more beneficial.

Recently, a Jan 2026 piece showed that no game requires 32GB RAM. You can search yourself for more details. However, if you keep many apps running while gaming, 64GB might be helpful. I usually restart before playing to stay tidy.
