Hey everyone, so my friend recently assembled a PC (here are the specs), and whenever we attempt to launch games like COD Warzone, Rust, or the new COD campaign, his system completely freezes and restarts right after clicking "play." I wasn’t sure what was behind this issue, since the PC passed overnight Memtest86, ran 6 hours on Windows 95, and another 6 hours on FurMark. It still manages to run Apex Legends smoothly, which made me think it might be a power supply problem—but honestly, I’m not sure what’s causing it. I’m heading out to work in about 45 minutes, so if I don’t reply soon, I’ll do my best to get back quickly. Thanks.

Restarts usually stem from issues with the power supply unit or the motherboard. When using Prime 95 and checking disk space, have you considered testing both simultaneously? If the system becomes overloaded by the PSU while running both programs together, a similar restart might occur.

I tested both simultaneously for three minutes, and the computer didn't actually fail.

I had a comparable issue and found it resolved by cleaning the RAM modules, the slots, and everything returned to its proper place. You might want to try this approach—it won't cost you anything.
