Requesting a Wi-Fi connection for the Ethernet adapter.
I need a home NAS with only wired ports, no built-in Wi-Fi. I want it in a room where I can't add network access. My router is an Asus RT-AC68U. I'm considering using it as an access point instead of a full router. I'd like something that connects directly to the NAS via a wired adapter—preferably 5GHz and AC, though 100Mbps works fine. Gigabit would be great but not necessary.
TP Link Nano router handles tasks in client mode. Available with speeds of 300mbps and 750mbps.
TP Link's regular consumer products often show wireless performance similar to a rotary phone, but I don't have personal experience with the nano version.
@Spylock , Here's a real solution; the Netgear N600: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B005N6XBDO/ I had the exact same question and this worked almost perfectly for me.
