So i ordered an Htc Vive the other day, and it's due to arrive soon but i don't know what games to get, I've already picked up a few free ones like the lab, but what paid games are enjoyable (big into shooters, and open world stuff for non VR).

Subnautica offers an engaging open-world experience, while hover junkies provides a solid shooter. Pair it with Vive Pool Nation VR for an enjoyable session with friends.

Many enjoyable shooters use arcade-style mechanics, which might not be very engaging, but I've had a great time with Space Pirate Training. Holopoint is essentially a shooter with a playful feel. I haven’t played it yet, but I haven’t encountered any major issues. Sadly, high-quality full VR titles are still scarce. A handful of games demonstrate VR potential, and some arcade-style titles are entertaining, though they’re usually brief and hastily developed. Eventually, better experiences will emerge, but right now most are short and rushed by developers aiming for VR rather than crafting a polished game. A few have been adapted well—like Subnautica according to @samcool55—but overall I don’t have strong suggestions at the moment.

You buy a 900€ Vive but don’t know what to do? The best options are tech demos or arcade-style shooters. There aren’t any true AAA titles yet.
