Back in 2014 I constructed a setup inside an Antec Dark Force 85 enclosure. It was running three screens using SLI with Windows 8.1. In 2015 I received a job offer that required relocation, and it ended up being stored until this year.

I attempted to restart it via an Ethernet connection so it could refresh, but nothing functioned. I purchased Windows 11 to perform the update, yet it fails to load and keeps stating the system doesn’t meet the required specifications.

CPU: AMD FX-6300 Vishera 6 core, 3.5 GHz, AM3+ socket, 95 W
Motherboard: Asus M5A99FX Pro R2.0 AM3+ AMD 990FX, SB950 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 TX with UEFI Bios
RAM: 16 GB (2x8 GB) DDR3 at 2400 MHz (PC3 19200)
PS: Kingwin Mack 1 ABT-1000, 1000W ATX/BTX SLI certified
Graphics: 2 GeoForce GTX550 Ti with SLI bridge
Storage: 128 GB SATA III internal SSD bootdisk and 3 x 1 TB SATA HDD in RAID

I’m stuck. It appears I can’t update the BIOS because there’s no active operating system. I don’t want to lose the machine, but I’m hoping my only option is to upgrade the motherboard and begin loading Windows 11 from there.

Any suggestions?
Thanks!

This setup isn't compatible with Win 11 at all.
Win 10 is fine... but 11 won't work.
For Win 11, you'd need an entirely different machine.
Components like the motherboard, CPU, RAM, etc., would need to be updated.

Your system isn't up to 11 standards.
Try setting it to version 10 and see if it works.
Currently, few games support this now.
The first step would be to change the CMOS battery.
Restart into BIOS, adjust date/time, and apply default settings.
Then restart using the Windows 10 USB that you have installed and install a new copy with just the boot drive.
Recovering your RAID setup seems unlikely.
