Consider the 5900X as two 5600 or 5600X units joined together. It offers performance close to a 5600/5600X/5700X/5800X setup. Likely slightly less than a 5700X/5800X in certain situations since the latter feature eight cores in one module and six in another, with the connecting fabric acting as a constraint. The 5800X3D remains better in roughly 80% of games (similar for those with minimal caching), while the 5900X excels in tasks requiring heavy workloads like rendering due to its higher core count and slightly improved performance. I moved from the 5900X to the 5800X3D specifically for gaming, especially in PUBG, and noticed a significant improvement in smoothness.
