Hi everyone, in short I’ve successfully messed with the Microsoft Store – nothing loads. (Error Code: 0x80070015). This is causing trouble for Forza. I understand what might be going on; I once disabled Cortana and other features by following online guides without fully grasping the steps or saving notes. I’ve tried all the fixes suggested by search results. My question is: Will a standard Windows 10 reset restore my registry changes and any deleted system files? Should I choose “keep your files” or just copy what I need to a new drive? Or do I have to wipe the drive completely and reinstall via USB? I still have the official Microsoft key on hand. Thanks!

I’d just reinstall Windows from the beginning.

When performing a reset, please retain your files. All third-party applications installed will require reinstallation following the system reset.

Create a new Windows USB using the media maker and reinstall the OS. If you pick the reset option, it will take a long time.

Thank you for your response. I'm ready to proceed with "keep your files" and follow up later.

Updated final note: Trying the reset option without saving files didn’t work; it also restricted access to the C drive and programs unless in safe mode. Working with USB booting dbam to clear my M.2 failed due to driver issues (managed to boot but no drives found). Eventually, I switched to using the Windows recovery USB, deleted existing partitions, and reinstalled the OS to download a game from Microsoft’s store. TLDR: I formatted the boot drive and reinstalled my OS to get a game from the official site.
