The IO die matches across Zen 4 and Zen 5 CPUs, meaning exceeding 6000 CL30 isn't necessary.

6000 CL30 means the IOD stays consistent across 9000x3D, applying the same guidelines used for 7800x3D. 3D v-cache typically focuses less on memory speed; it only became significant on 5000x3D CPUs where FCLK was tied to MCLK:UCLK. The distinction between a 5800x3D with a 3200MT/sec setup and one with a 3600MT/sec setup became noticeable due to differences in FCLK speeds—1600MHz versus 1800MHz. With Ryzen 7000, the FCLK was no longer fixed, allowing automatic scaling (AUTO:1:1) instead of a strict 1:1:1 ratio. MCLK:UCLK still favors 3000MHz, which aligns with 6000MT/sec kits. The best performance comes from the narrowest and fastest latencies, typically found in CL30 through CL36 with precise timing. The most efficient option remains the one with the lowest and tightest delays.

Consider 6000CL30 for a reliable choice, or 6400CL32 (or 30 if available) with hopes of success. Pray for it to run at 2133MHz so performance matches exactly. Exceeding that will yield double speed but slow overall. Keep in mind that gaming RAM isn't critical for 3D chips; the cache helps ease bandwidth limits. Roughly, 6000CL30 offers only about a 3% boost over 5600CL36/40 and under 8% versus non-XMP 4800, depending on the game.
