I need to confirm if your motherboard can manage speed control based on temperature and supports all three fans. It should also have sufficient connectors for that setup. You can check the B450M-Pro4 specs at the provided link.

Your motherboard includes a CPU fan header and three case fan headers. These allow adjustment of fan speeds according to CPU temperature.

It’s great! If you want to add more fans, you might need a splitter or a different controller. As for the fan types, 4-pin CPUs use four pins for power delivery, while 3-pin case fans typically connect via a single pin for power and ground.

A splitter offers the easiest solution. It lets you connect several fans (usually two-thirds) to one header and manage them together. A controller is generally only necessary when adding many more fans, so a splitter is sufficient. The fourth pin on fans supports PWM control, whereas three pins allow only DC control. In short, PWM lets you adjust fan speeds more precisely and create a smoother curve, while DC control starts the fan at a higher speed with less detailed steps. As always, the explanation and graph are quite simplified. Three-pin fans work well for quiet operation and maximum control; PWM is ideal if you need finer adjustments.

thank you, I noticed it also has an extra CPU fan (2 CPU fans) - can I use the 2nd CPU fan connector for a case fan if I needed?
