Hello, I just assembled my initial PC without a hard drive, which means I can't install the motherboard driver CD. Transferring it to USB takes over a day. Are there any tools to automatically obtain the drivers? I've already updated my GPU drivers and Windows.

they are available for purchase, simply visit the manufacturer’s site and save the files. it’s straightforward. the process shouldn’t require much time, even if you’re copying to a USB drive.

Use only the LAN driver CD when necessary. Obtain the latest versions directly from the manufacturer's site.

I’d look up the chipsets used by your board and obtain the relevant files directly from the manufacturer. If you have Realtek audio, secure the corresponding drivers. Typically, you’ll need under 200-400 MB of driver files. On Windows, focus mainly on audio, network, and graphics drivers.

I frequently check and upgrade the firmware for my Intel chipsets. However, I don’t recommend it for regular users. Updating BIOS and USB 3 drivers is also part of the process.

Only a few components are essential since the standard Windows driver package handles most needs. I don’t install GPU drivers unless required, and I’ve never faced issues with performance or compatibility. I rely on the built-in NIC and audio drivers that come with Windows. The only situations where official drivers are necessary are for premium gaming cards or audio devices that Windows doesn’t recognize.

Each producer has their own main program with an update feature. You may rely on it.
