It seems likely this part isn’t meant to be deleted, possibly because it’s meant to stay intact or because it wasn’t built with removal in mind. Without examining the top section of the motherboard, it looks like a grounding point or antenna. You might be able to reuse it by desoldering or cutting the connection and reattaching it later. If you don’t have the right tools, just remember a Wi-Fi adapter card is affordable and easy to find, even if not perfect.

These components are typically soldered on the opposite side. Most often, they use a mini coaxial connector—remember the name? Carefully lift the connection from the board without pulling too hard. You might want to purchase a separate antenna later if needed.
