Hey folks, I'm hitting a wall with my Minecraft (only an example game that's not the purpose of my machine ) FPS, struggling to break the 100 FPS mark even on max settings, despite having what I thought was a powerful setup. After digging into a thorough diagnosis, I suspected either the PSU or the Mainboard might be the culprit. Here's the nitty-gritty of my diagnosis: PSU Suspicions: Initially, I leaned towards the PSU as a potential issue, primarily due to noticing fluctuations in the 12V rails while scrutinizing the HWINFO logs. However, even after swapping out the PSU with a new one, the problem persists. Mainboard Examination: Another area that raised red flags was the Mainboard, particularly because the VRMs were hitting the Tmax limit, as evident in the HWINFO logs. Consequently, I've ordered a replacement Mainboard, which is expected to arrive today. Here are my system specs: Case: MSI MPG SEKIRA 100R CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 5950X CPU Cooler: ARCTIC Liquid Freezer II 240 Motherboard: MSI MPG X570 Gaming Pro Carbon WiFi (including Wi-Fi + Bluetooth) RAM: 64GB (4x16GB) GSkill DDR4 3600MHz Trident Z NEO GPU: MSI RTX 4070 Ti 12GB PSU: 850W be quiet! Straight Power 11 Platinum Awaiting the arrival of the Gigabyte B550 AORUS ELITE AX V2 Mainboard today. If the new Mainboard doesn't resolve the issue, I'm running out of ideas on where to turn next. I've attached an HWINFO log captured during a benchmark for reference. Would greatly appreciate any insights or suggestions! Time Spy Extreme 4k gaming with DirectX 12.CSV

I can't read your time spy score. How many chunks are trying to render? Give some more examples with temps for both cpu and gpu along with the amountof usage. Did you use DDU to uninstall the older drivers, then install new drivers from Nvidia? If the VRMs are getting too hot, make sure you have good air flow in the case.

When issues can't be clearly explained, I often label them as a PSU problem. Your situation might vary. Consider slowing down your CPU and observe if it improves performance (perhaps reducing strain on the power supply).

Time Spy Extreme: 9187 https://www.3dmark.com/spy/47501047 I updated my whole setup roughly five times. The best boost came from using AtlasOS.

Attempted a different power supply, but the issue remains unresolved.

Consider using fabric with sodium. Vanilla Minecraft optimization works well. If you understand the setup, allocate extra RAM for Minecraft in the launcher—most defaults are 4GB. Adding 15+ chunks could cause lag even without heavy stress.

Minecraft served just as a sample. In Battlefield V I experience around 100 FPS during peak moments. I don’t even play on 2K or 4K; my setup is 1920x1080 with a 144Hz monitor. A friend with a nearly identical configuration has no issues running on the latest Samsung Odyssey G9.
