Request denied due to graphics hardware restrictions
On Monday I tried some NFS Unbound. Tuesday I received the message "Application has been blocked from accessing Graphics hardware" for NFS Unbound, mainly affecting Only DirectX12 titles. I played Civilization VI on DX11 without problems, attempted The Quarry and got the same warning. When trying Red Dead Redemption 2, I expected Vulkan to work but got ERR_GFX_INIT. No hang errors occurred (those that impacted DX12 games).
My setup:
- Processor: Ryzen 7 3700X (no integrated GPU)
- Graphics card: RTX 2080 Super
- RAM: 32 GB DDR4 3200MHz
- OS: Windows 10 Education 22H2, Build 19045.2311
- GPU drivers: Nvidia GeForce GRD v527.56
What I've tried without success:
- Updated drivers
- RegEdit → GraphicsDrivers
- TdrLevel Value 0, SFC /scannow
- DISM – set game to High Performance Run (Admin, used GPU)
- Tweaks in Security & Maintenance
- Dued driver install
NFS Unbound works fine with PlayStore; I have PlayStore access for $15. Anyone have a solution?
It seems like you're testing different approaches. Have you considered switching it on and off multiple times? For a more serious attempt, try disabling your antivirus temporarily and observe if the problem persists. You might also consider shutting down all firewall and virus protection tools for an hour to see if that resolves the issue.
I confirmed the device is functioning properly. Thank you for your confirmation.
I turned off the firewall. The Quarry appears functional. NFS Unbound experiences the same crash with that error (attached image). RDR2 also crashes under the same issue mentioned in the post.
Several useful suggestions are available: https://www.makeuseof.com/how-to-fix-tap...r-windows/ and https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/wind...6bb2294dda. This discussion is also linked to many additional resources that might help. Sharing the articles directly would be impractical due to their length.
Only the firewall was disabled. Both systems are now inactive, showing the same issue. The NFS service is also failing, along with the Unbound service. The Quarry appears to be working properly again—previously it was restricted but now it's accessible.
It appears the issue isn't universal; some DirectX12 games are working while others aren't, suggesting possible corruption. Try reinstalling the games if you have a stable internet connection. Also verify Windows updates. If problems persist, consider moving critical files to the D drive and reinstalling Windows. Troubleshooting could take days or weeks, whereas a full Windows reinstall would only take about 30 minutes, followed by a few hours for programs.
