Hi everyone, I've been working on fixing a friend's PC and ran into some problems. The specifications are as follows: motherboard fujitsu d3061, CPU i5-2500, RAM 16GB DDR3. At first, the PC wouldn't even start the CPU fan, while the PSU fan spun but nothing else worked. I assumed the power supply was the issue, so I swapped it out with a 600W gold Evga unit that I knew was fine. That didn’t solve anything. I also tried different RAM modules to check if the problem was with the memory. Nothing changed. Eventually, I managed to fix it by resetting the CMOS and replacing the CMOS battery. Now the PC boots into Windows after being powered off and drained. However, when I turn it back on immediately, it won’t boot at all. To get it to start again, I have to unplug the PSU for a few minutes before turning it back on. If anyone has advice, suggestions, or a diagnosis, it would be really helpful. Thanks in advance!

Welcome to the forums, new member!
This adapter is required to use an aftermarket power supply with the motherboard because of the unique connector on the board.

Hi there, thank you for your message. The photo you shared doesn't match the motherboard in the computer. The one inside has a 24-pin connector. The PSU can be connected to the motherboard, but the problem seems to be that the computer boots and starts working but then fails to turn on again after being turned off. It needs to be drained of power for several minutes before it will restart and work properly.
