Here’s the plan, let’s break it down. First, adjust the CPU ratio to 42. Then save your profile and use the Asus overclock tool to store it on a USB drive. Upload it or send it over. When you’re ready, set the CPU ratio again and confirm everything is configured correctly. I’ll press F5 to ensure stock settings are active before making any changes. This way, you can keep the R5 3600 at 4200mhz with lower voltage and better performance than with turbo enabled.
I’d rather skip the hassle and rely on Throttlestop to lower and lock the core clock at 42x, that’s all. But you decide. Edited May 18, 2023 by thekingofmonks Throttlestop is exclusive to Intel.
The A320m board doesn’t allow overclocking unfortunately. I’ve been trying to find solutions and managed to reach 4.05ghz. Someone who can unlock the CPU ratio setting in the BIOS would be great, since it’s currently locked or hidden. Once that’s possible, I can undervolt it myself. Reaching 4.2ghz will finally let me sleep without stress.
