Will preparing from updating my current pc with a new motherboard, I found out that I was missing 3 additional standoffs for accommodating my new ATX board.. My case have 6 standoffs already installed and 3 are normally included with it. Unfortunately that PC is a prebuilt and I never got the box with the included standoffs. The guy from the computer store did not want to help me or give me additional standoffs. I managed to get additional standoffs from another computer case that have standoffs not used. I took a plier to unscrew the unused standoffs and I damaged them a little in the process. Standoffs picture: https://imgur.com/a/6QYdJ4O Should I still use them? The thread part is not damaged, only the sides. Does it matter for my motherboard?

They look completely intact and won’t impact the motherboard. It should be okay.

They're ready to proceed. Double-check everything before moving forward.

I’d still apply the raw metal just in case, though it should work fine for the motherboard.

Such exposed metal tends to corrode quickly, or at the very least undergo oxidation. It won’t appear attractive once opened, and it can be quite difficult to remove.

It seems the design resembles solid metal with a silver brass finish, impressive!
