CPU: Amd 3800x GPU: RTX 2080 Ti There's a bunch of weird issues I've been facing and since I'm past the return period I'm trying to eliminate any other possibilities so I don't have to be without a computer for a while. Here are some of the issues I've come across, from oldest to most recent: I upgraded to an NZXT Z63 from an X52, plugged it into the same USB header that the X52 was connected to. It showed up on CAM but then kept saying loading and it never did. So I restarted the computer and then it just wasn't detecting it at all. So I connected it to another USB header and then it was detecting it in the CAM software. After a few days of installing the NZXT Z63, during boot I got the CPU fan error asking me to press F1 to go into setup. I restarted the PC couple more times thinking it was just a random error but I kept getting that message on boot. So I went into bios and changed that one setting for the fan to ignore, I forget what that setting is called in bios. The computer booted up fine after that. Weird because that setting wasn't on ignore. Recently I've used the default bios settings and it's not on ignore anymore, and I don't get any CPU fan error. I'm not sure if the issues I faced above are relevant to the issues I'm facing now. However, this is what I'm encountering a lot recently: Sometimes when I turn on my PC, the monitor just says that there's no signal. Unplugging display port cable doesn't do anything. To fix it, I have to take a screwdriver and place it on those pins to clear the CMOS. After that, I get a signal, go into BIOS and everything is fine. Similar issue if I put my PC to sleep. Clear CMOS to get it to work again. Similar to the rest but if I just leave my PC on, get back to it after a few hours and turn my monitor on, I get the message that there's no signal which I then clear the CMOS again. Or if I encounter any of the issues above, I just turn my PC off and come back to it later, and it will boot just normally without me having to clear CMOS. I feel like this might all be a motherboard issue because it resolves after I clear CMOS. I've used the default BIOS settings and it still does this. Happens at least once or twice a week. I did update BIOS thinking that might help it but that didn't do anything either. As of right now posting this, clearing cmos via placing screwdriver on pins is not doing anything. I took out the battery, turned the pc on, turned it back off and put the battery in. It gets you into bios and I load defaults and when it resets, it's back to a black screen and no signal. I've checked the lights on the motherboard and the white led is on for vga and yellow for boot. Removed my gpu and it didn't do anything. Any way to fix this? Is it motherboard for sure?
Before the BIOS update, your Asus X570 would act in this way. Once the update was applied, it largely disappeared. Even though that might not seem very useful, it’s still worth noting.
I've got the latest update, but it didn't fix the problem. I'm sending it back to ASUS just to check if it was a motherboard issue. I want to rule out anything smaller that might be fixed by Monday so I can work on it. It's not showing up at all even after clearing the CMOS.
Return the item and stop the hassle rather than letting it stress you out further.
