Hello, I've swapped my GTX 1050 Ti for an RX 6750 XT but the system won't start. Resetting CMOS and updating BIOS didn’t help. There’s no power showing on the mouse or keyboard. When I disconnect the GPU power, the peripherals light up again. I also see DRAM flashes on the motherboard occasionally. The PC runs perfectly with my old GPU. I’ve tried two different RX 6750 XT models so far and still face the same problem. My specs are: CPU AMD Ryzen 5 3600, Motherboard MSI B550 GAMING EDGE Wi-Fi ATX, Power supply Corsair CX650F RGB (80 PLUS Bronze), RAM 2x 8GB HyperX FURY 3200MHz. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

First impressions suggest the new graphics card is consuming excessive power from the PSU. Since the older model displayed activity while the new one didn’t, it points toward a potential PSU issue. Would you consider upgrading to a more capable PSU?

I'm on the same track. I've placed an order for a fresh 750 PSU, expecting delivery within a day or two. We'll check if that resolves the issue.

Recommendations show a 650 as sufficient, but could still be weak. It's possible the board may not support the card. I ran into this on a Lenovo M71E board. Displayed startup messages through my 1650 but would not boot with it because the board only supported up to GTX1050. I've also seen MSI do some dumb things like removing Zen 2 support from a BIOS update, only to rescind it within weeks or even days. So this could be a BIOS support issue. It's likely your 6750XT power cables aren't connected correctly on the power supply end. Please verify the connections.

I've already verified this a couple of times. I've also tried two different cables. The motherboard is only a few years old, so I wouldn't be too surprised if it doesn't support the RX 6000 series.

Hopefully not different cables from other PSU, modular Power supply cables are not interchangeable. A B550 board should have no problem running a AMD graphics card made in the last 5 years.. Which makes me think it is power as well. A 650w should have the juice for a 3600 and a 6750xt, unless it is defective or really old.

You may want to look into BIOS updates since MSI has experienced issues with this type of problem, especially when dealing with Zen 2 compatibility.

What storage types are you using—m.2 SSDs, HDDs, or a combination? Also, how many USB devices have you added?
