Reporting Power Fluctuations – Low Levels When Red Is Played in Division 2
CPU - Ryzen 5 3600 Mobo ASRock B450 Fatality K4 Gaming - latest BIOS GPU - MSI Gaming X - Nvidia 1660 non-super Hello guys, I spent the whole day browsing online about AMD Ryzen Power Deviation but didn’t grasp much. I’m here to ask too... I have no issues when idle (no red numbers, nothing), but when I start streaming or launch Division 2, HWinfo shows a small power drop (85%-60%) compared to when playing, which is normal. It seems this only happens during full load (100%), and even then it stays under 95% with no red alert. When playing Division 2 at 25%-30% load, the drop is around 40% or less, but it turns red. Is this something I should be concerned about, or is it just normal behavior when CPU isn’t fully loaded? Thanks for any insight!
It appears the color change begins in just the first division but not in others. It also lowers during streaming for a moment before returning to normal levels above 100. Thanks!
It likely varies based on how the game initializes the CPU. Streaming at full capacity makes sense because video encoding requires all-core processing. Usually, you don't need to worry about that number unless your processor is completely busy, as mentioned in the feature update: https://www.hwinfo.com/forum/threads/exp...info.6456/
So to conclude its nothing to worry about ? Even that drops to 60% while playing Division 2 when CPU load is at 40% max ? I tested with CinebenchR23 MultiCore when CPU was at 100% load and didnt dropped lower than 95% it was staying 97-95%
