Reporting keyboard liquid exposure issues.
I accidentally dropped some soda on my keyboard and unplugged it immediately. After cleaning the keys with alcohol and removing the board from its case, I dried it overnight. Now when I plug it back in, it randomly types keys. Is it still working or should I try to fix it? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
It appears to be a membrane keyboard. If liquid has seeped in, it will likely need thorough cleaning and drying.
Keep it close to an air conditioner vent for a week. The AC helps remove moisture well when it's cooling. This usually comes down to hope and prayer. My mouse got soaked and passed away. About a year later, it kept working for two years before I had to replace it.
