Reporting GPU connectivity problems on two distinct cards.
I bought an AMD 6600 XT graphics card in August last year. At first, the installation worked smoothly, allowing daily gaming sessions such as playing Escape from Tarkov, Rainbow Six, and God of War without any problems. But in January, while running Rainbow Six, both my dual monitors suddenly lost their signal, showing a "DisplayPort no signal" alert. At the same time, the AMD Adrenalin program displayed a "GPU time" error. A quick restart helped temporarily, but nothing significant appeared in the event viewer.
To check if the problem was due to a physical connection or slot issue, I reinserted the graphics card into its original slot and tested other available slots on my motherboard. I repeatedly used Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU) to remove and reinstall the drivers. This fixed the issue briefly, letting me run for about an hour before another crash happened. I rolled back the drivers from version 24.1.1 back to 24.11. DDU sometimes detected a GPU but didn’t let me use it properly at times.
I also tried a fresh installation of Windows 11 in case the original system was corrupted. Eventually, the GPU stopped receiving power, as shown by an off RGB light on the card. If I unplugged the 8 pins from the GPU, a small red light appeared next to the connections, suggesting it wasn’t getting power. Throughout these events, my CPU’s integrated graphics continued functioning normally.
After determining the GPU was faulty, I filed a return merchandise authorization (RMA) and received a refund once it was confirmed defective. About a month later, I purchased an Intel Arc A770 GPU, hoping it would resolve my earlier problems. Initially, the new setup worked well, but after roughly four hours of use, the same display signal issue returned, causing the GPU to go unrecognized by the PC. The temporary solutions only lasted about an hour. The first GPU was returned and refunded after being marked as faulty. The second GPU began showing the same problem just a few hours after installation, which worried me about potential further damage.
Summary:
I faced ongoing "DisplayPort no signal" problems with two GPUs—first the AMD 6600 XT, then the Intel Arc A770—in my gaming PC. Despite thorough troubleshooting like reseating the card and using DDU for driver updates, the issue kept coming back. It started during gameplay and eventually led to the GPU not being detected at all, with only short-term fixes lasting around an hour. The first card was returned and refunded after being declared defective. The second GPU began exhibiting the same issue shortly after installation, raising concerns about possible additional damage.

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!
If you're experiencing issues with Windows 11, consider trying a fresh reinstall.
Where did you obtain the installer for the operating system?
PSU: MWE GOLD 750W
Is this device brand new? You may want to check if the problem continues with another unit obtained from a friend or neighbor.
Mobo: MSI Mag B650M Wifi
What BIOS version is installed on your motherboard?
Also, were the affected cards tested on a donor platform to ensure the issue isn't unique to your system?
1. Windows 11 was obtained from the official website onto a boot disk
2. Every component is brand new, purchased directly from the store
3. The latest model 7C94v1I was sourced from the MSI site
4. The GPU had already failed by the time donor testing became feasible; the new GPU has not been evaluated in a donor system and no other components have been tested
