I built my MSI B650 Tomahawk board recently and have experienced unusually high temperatures, even when the system is idle. The case fans are spinning at very high speeds because of these temps. Would adjusting the fan curves up by 8-10°C be a viable solution? Also, the HWiNFO readings match the BIOS temperatures, so it seems consistent.

Tested the newest BIOS but encountered memory issues, so I reverted; system temperature stayed comparable after the update. CPU model: 7800X3D.

What cooling solution are you employing? Your idle runs at 35-45 with an ambient temperature between 25-29°C. EK CR240mm.

Used a dark rock 4 pro for extra cooling, paired with five P14 fans in a quiet base. Aimed for a solid build but the temp reading feels way too high compared to the components. It might just mean the sensors are off or faulty, causing an overestimation of temperature.

Eh, I’m not sure about the calibration. How many air intakes and exhausts are there? You should crank your case fans up to their maximum without discomfort. The abrupt shift in RPM stands out more than a steady speed.

It wouldn't matter much if those numbers match the temperatures we see. 53.5C seems a bit extreme during operation.
