On June 6th, the ASUS ZENBOOK PRO UX535LH-KJ213T product was transferred from wholesale to our customer and handed over that day. Today, our client is investigating whether the CMD Administrator Color "PowerCFG / BatteryReport / Output \"C: Battery_report.html\"" command line produced a valid HTML report after executing it. The report indicated battery charging durations for periods when the device was not present at our client's location or business, which raises concerns for both parties.
According to Hard Disk Sentinel, the SSD in the device operated for 0 days and 3 hours, a duration consistent with the time since the device was transferred to the customer. This suggests the device was not actively used, yet the command line and generated data failed to provide useful information for our client.
To clarify, I visited two of our warehouses. The first unit, unopened, was removed from the ASUS factory security room. On both devices running preinstalled Windows, after executing the CMD Administrator command, the table returned empty results, and the charging period was not listed. The second device, assigned to our client, showed a battery charging period in 2021 and a date when it was not even in stock or available at our warehouse. The interpretation of this HTML data was clear and reassuring, yet it did not satisfy our client’s expectations.
I contacted Microsoft's customer service by phone. They provided the Windows product ID, which was recognized as a legal OEM identifier. However, they did not respond with a detailed explanation regarding the specific circumstances of the case. It appears the battery is not a Microsoft product. Furthermore, it became evident that the CMD command line was not created by ASUS engineers to analyze the data—it was likely a request for assistance from Microsoft. There is no evidence of hardware failure in any device.
